Lenovo at the CES2016 exhibition will show two new notebooks of a line ThinkPad. The ThinkPad 13 model is presented in two versions: for Chrome OS and Windows. Models are almost identical except for several parts — for example, red trekpoynt is only in Windows version.

ThinkPad 13 for Windows

The Lenovo ThinkPad 13 ultrabook weighs 1,45 kilograms, the 13,3-inch display, thickness of its body — 19,8 millimeters has. In the maximum picking in the notebook Intel Core i7 of the last generation, 16 gigabytes of random access memory of DDR4 and 512 gigabytes of SSD memory are used. In devices there is one port USB-C and three full-size USB ports. The company positions this notebook as the device for professionals, students and teachers and those who need to work throughout the day. Operating systems at choice — WIndows 7 Professional, Windows 10 Pro or Home, Ubuntu Linux. ThinkPad 13 with Windows will begin to sell in April, 2016 at the price of 449 US dollars.

Other ThinkPad 13 version — with Chrome OS onboard — will go on sale in June, 2016 and will cost for 50 dollars cheaper, in 399 dollars. At once difference in the keyboard is evident: in this version there is no classical red trekpoynt because Google has strict rules to iron for devices on Chrome OS. Other differences concerned ports — in the chromebook there is no HDMI port, there are two USB Type-C and only one USB port.
