And though, you will surprise nobody with the next 3D-printer, nevertheless it is worth selecting couple of interesting features of this project:
The device is delivered as in a set and in assembled form (if you are not frightened by the delivery price). Thus the lower level (a whale option) in $340 is, perhaps, the lowest in a commercial segment, however, after completion of financing, it will rise to $500. Moreover, with purchase 1 kg of plastic for printing is delivered (a bonus for collected $200.000).
As improvements it is possible to purchase LCD/SD the whale allowing to print without computer or any amount in addition of plastic.
The printer very much interested in the construction: as envisioned by the author the print area is scaled with the minimum costs — replacement napravlyashchy and parts of the bearing framework. The bearing part of the device is executed of a steel profile that well affects the price, vibration resistances and is very deplorable is reflected in the weight and the price of delivery.
The basic model allows to print of 25х25х25 cm that than at Replicator 2, BIG the version in unimaginable 30х40х25 cm is already more.
Perhaps not superfluous will be to mention about authors of the project. Them is the staff of the inventapart.com company which is engaged professional 3d - printing by expensive and big FDM machines. In my opinion, it has to affect quality of construction and engineering ideas very positively.
