It is very difficult to find the competent guide to selection of good microphones for record of podcasts: most of podcasters used only one or two sound recorders. Only audioengineers use a large number of sound recording devices, but they impose to them absolutely other requirements as carry out record in other conditions. Moreover, almost in all reviews examples of sound recordings are not given.
I decided to change it. Some popular microphones disappointed me, some were pleasant, moreover, I found these nuggets which were unknown in a circle of podcasters earlier.

The podcasting attracts vendors of content with the fact that it remains rather poorly developed area on a modern media landscape. Many ask whether the podcasting is a new form of blogging, remembering similar boom which occurred at the beginning and the middle of the 2000th years and proceeds still.
When I began to write own podcast, I paid attention to how this sphere is poorly studied. The majority of researches about which I read was concentrated around behavior of listeners that in principle it is useful for marketing specialists to know, however other questions concerning a podcasting were left without answer.

The Beats company waged very successful marketing campaign and now reaps its fruits. The price label on their earphones just transcendental – $199. Perhaps with them not all is so simple, and in them there is something special?

Plates, especially old which were written and made till 1982 with much smaller probability were exposed to mix during which record would be made louder. They reproduce natural music with natural dynamic range which remains on a plate and is lost at the majority of standard digital formats or formats of high resolution.
Certainly, there are exceptions – listen to not so long ago left Stephen Wilson's album from MA Recordings or Reference Recordings, and you will hear how good can be a digital sound. But it is a rarity, the majority of modern sound recordings loud and compressed.
