The OCZ Technology group, part of Toshiba Group Company, at this exhibition showed new model of the drive — RevoDrive 400 NVMe PCI Express SSD.
Performance of the device is rather big. So, OCZ used the NVMe technology for improvement of indicators of reading/record. In the new drive the X4 PCI Express interface by means of which SSD is connected to the motherboard is used.

In it there would be nothing remarkable if not that carriers belonged to the creator of Star Trek Gene Roddenberri. Diskettes after Roddenberri's death were all the time at his successor. The recovered information was provided to it, in the Network nothing was spread.
Nevertheless, DriveSavers reports that on diskettes there were records of the author, he used them for saving of ideas, scenarios and notes. The volume of each diskette made 160 CBs, and they were used last time somewhere in the eighties the last century.
Last year the Samsung corporation provided the first portable SSD disk, Portable SSD T1. Now the South Korean company provided more capacious model, exceeding the previous option in several parameters. At the same time, Portable SSD T3 has and much in common with the predecessor. For example, vertical NAND (V-NAND) memory is here too used thanks to what speeds of reading/record reach an indicator in 450 Mbps.

The StorageTek company (nowadays already nonexistent) became the first vendor of the drive on semiconductors with use of a volatile memory. What else occurred from the moment of emergence of SSD — read under a cat.
The first hard drive was released in the history by the IBM company in far 1956, and by the beginning of the 1980th HDD of steel of the main a data storage device for all types of computers. Someone says that winchesters became outdated and time to replace them with much more effective SSD came. But in reality the "outdated" technology did not settle the potential yet. According to the Seagate Technology company, winchesters will not leave the market of 15-20 more years. To adapt to modern requirements, in hard drives a number of the innovation technologies will be implemented.
