UNESCO notes growth of world expenses on science2 years ago
Prepares such reports of UNESCO each five years, paying special attention to long-term tendencies, but not short-term annual fluctuations. More than 50 experts participated in preparation of this report, each of which analyzed a situation in the region or the country of the origin.
In five years global intensity of Research and Development in the world grew from 1,57% (2007) to 1,70% (2013) of GDP. In 2013 world gross expenses on Research and Development reached 1478 bln. dollars (at par consumer capability) and grew by 47%, in comparison with 2007.
In Russia in five years the number of scientists and researchers sharply decreased, the share in world GDP and in world VRNIOKR fell, expenses percentage of GDP remained at the same level of 1,12%, but per capita much grew.
